Description of Position / skills Required


Provides receptionist services by answering and directing incoming calls and assisting the public by directing them to the proper departments within; train new users on telephone usage and basic phone system management. Assist with front counter duties dealing with customers and staff. This position may be used towards other employment competitions within the organization.

  Main Duties:

  • Answer and direct all calls to reception, both internal and external.
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail, email and faxes to the proper departments/mailboxes. Stamp, sort and coordinate delivery of external mail to the post office.
  • Record all cheques received in the mail
  • Perform other front counter duties.
Certifications / Qualifications / Education


  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalent;
  • Ability to effectively use computers with proficiency in MS Office software
  • Office administration training or similar background;
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills using courtesy, tact and discretion in dealing with requests, complaints and clarification of information; 
  • Ability to work independently in a multiple task environment with public and staff at all levels; and

Valid AB Drivers License – (no more than six (6) demerits), some local travel may be required.
