We are looking for disability support workers to assist with holiday coverage June 29, 2020 to August 31, 2020 (can begin earlier and/or carry into September as agreed).  Hours of work may include days, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts (sleep and/or awake).

The Company:

Parkland C.L.A.S.S. is a family based organization, focused on increasing the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities through individual choice, dignity and rights since 1963. We support over 400 Individuals in Central Alberta. 

The Position:

Our employees assist individuals to live as independently as possible within their home and in the community.  You may be required to assist with; complex medical needs, personal care, preparing meals, administering medications, performing lifts and transfers, following behavior support programs, completion of logs and reports, household chores and activities within their home and in the community.

  • Hours of work: 3 on 3 off rotation: Hours during Monday to Friday will be 9am – 3pm and hours during Saturday & Sunday will vary from 3 to 12 hour shifts
  • A set schedule will be provided ahead of time
  • There may be a possibility for additional hours
  • Hourly wage: $15.00 (sleep) $16.50 - $17.94 (awake)



Certifications / Qualifications / Education

The Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a related field of Human Service
  • Acceptable Police Information Check & Child Intervention Check
  • Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle (with valid insurance & registration)
  • Acceptable Driver’s Abstract
  • Indigenous experience would be an asset
