What You’ll be Doing:

As a Customer Service Representative, you are the face of FortisAlberta, an ambassador for our Company with a desire for problem solving and helping others. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are enthusiastic, hardworking and have a positive “can do” attitude. You have the keen ability to connect with customers, listen, and assess their needs while providing solutions. As front-line support, you will be thoroughly trained and have a strong comprehension of the Company’s customer service and industry-related policies, which are the fundamental tools for offering quick, caring, and accurate assistance to our customers. You champion the FortisAlberta brand and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Position responsibilities:

  • Build quality customer relationships.
  • Efficiently and accurately resolve customer inquiries.  
  • Maintain effective inter-departmental relationships.
  • Capture and summarize customer interaction details accurately.
  • Manage customer emergency situations safely and effectively.
  • Proactively communicate and identify opportunities for process and customer experience improvement.
  • Create work orders from information received by customers, retailers or internal sources.
  • Escalate issues that require tracking, follow up and resolution.

Special conditions:  

  • Candidates being considered for this position may be subject to additional testing
  • Candidates must be available for 5 weeks of full-time training Monday – Friday (8:00am-3:30pm)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Candidates must produce a copy of their high school diploma


Certifications / Qualifications / Education
  • High School diploma.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be considered an asset.
  • Extensive customer service experience is considered an asset.
