Description of Position / skills Required

Our busy accounting firm is looking for a full cycle bookkeeper. 

Duties will include but not be limited to

  • Sorting and entering receipts
  • Reconciling bank accounts, income/balance sheet accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.
  • Filing GST returns
  • Maintaining numerous bookkeeping files
  • Preparation of appropriate tax forms (government remittances, T4 slips, etc.)
  • Full cycle payroll duties for multiple clients
  • Regular interaction with company accountants

 

Certifications / Qualifications / Education

Required Skills

  • Functioning computer bookkeeping experience
  • Post-secondary education (bookkeeping certificate)
  • Attention to detail and quality, even in a fast paced environment
  • Strong command of the English language, high communication between coworkers and clients
  • Organized self-starter who likes to be busy
  • Strong ethics and integrity

Skills considered an asset

  • Training specifically in Sage and Quickbooks
