Description of Position / skills Required
Each week the AFL Alberta School Program Coordinator will undertake during-the-day school visits.
They will lead the PE department in demonstrating Australian football for their classes. They may run
AusKick after-school programs at those same schools or possibly other locations.
Certifications / Qualifications / Education
Mandatory
• Aged between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive).
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been confirmed
under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Experience working with youth and/or studying in a youth-focused area.
• Current Canadian driver’s license and ability to travel to schools.
• Can supply a complete Calgary Police Service Police Information Check.
 
Desired
• Experience and/or education in youth sport program delivery.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised or in a team environment.
• Well-developed verbal and non-verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Currently enrolled or completed kinesiology or teaching undergraduate degree.
