The Red Deer College program is a modified first year of study that provides credit for the first year of Bachelor of Science Agriculture focusing on transfer to the University of Alberta. It is strongly recommended that students apply for transfer after one year of study at RDC.

Bachelor of Science - Atmospheric Sciences

Red Deer College offers the first year of university study towards Bachelor of Science - Atmospheric Sciences. Atmospheric science is the study of the Earth's atmosphere and its various inner-working physical processes. 

Bachelor of Science - Biochemistry

RDC offers one year of study towards a BSc Biochemistry. There is a broad range of science courses in the program, allowing for easy transfer to other programs. These include Chemistry, various Biology programs, and some pre-professional programs.

RDC offers the first one or two years of study toward a degree in Biological Sciences with transfer to most Albertan universities. Students studying for two years at RDC will have access to hands on research opportunities during their second year of study.

If you have an interest in forest management, resource management and the preservation of the natural ecology in the field of Forestry, than the Bachelor of Science - Forestry is the program for you. RDC offers a modified first year of study that provides credit for the first year of Bachelor of Science - Forestry at University of Alberta.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) General program gives you a broad education in more than one branch of study. Students either complete two majors or one major and one minor. Majors are chosen from ten science subject areas.

Bachelor of Science - Psychology

RDC offers the first one or two years of study toward a degree in Psychology with transfer to most Albertan universities. Psychology is the scientific study of thought, emotion, and behaviour; with a focus on the dynamic interplay of biology and environment.

Bachelor of Science - University Transfer

Science is at the core of innovation in today’s modern world. In the Bachelor of Science program at Red Deer College, curiosity and critical thinking are nurtured and encouraged. You’ll learn to apply practical knowledge to the world around you through observation and experimentation.

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional

The objective of these programs is to provide access to the first and, in some cases, the second year of study toward "general" or "subject specific" programs which can be transferred to the provincial universities.

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Chiropractic

The Pre-Professional Chiropractic program at Red Deer College is essentially the first year of a Bachelor of Science degree. There are many different Chiropractic schools, all with varying entrance requirements. Some schools require specific courses, while others require a certain number of post-secondary years completed.

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Dentistry

Pre-Professional Programs at RDC are starting points to help students understand, and work towards, future admission into programs such as the Doctor of Dental Surgery program (DDS) at the University of Alberta. 

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Medicine

Pre-Professional Programs at RDC are starting points to help students understand, and work towards, future admission into programs such as the Doctor of Medicine (DM).

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Optometry

During these first two years of a Bachelor of Science degree, we provide you a starting point to keep your eyes (and mind) focused on a rewarding career as a Doctor of Optometry. This program is specifically tailored to help you work towards admission at the University of Waterloo, the only Canadian institution to offer this program. 

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Pharmacy

Pre-Professional Programs at RDC are starting points to help students understand, and work towards, future admission into programs such as the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.

Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional - Veterinary Medicine

Pre-Professional Programs at RDC are starting points to help students understand, and work towards, future admission into programs such as the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine program (UCVM).
