Steamfitter/Pipefitter

Steamfitter/Pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel.

The Steamfitter/Pipefitter apprenticeship program is 4 years with 1500 hours of on-the-job training and 8 weeks of RDC technical training each year.  

1st Year Apprentices

If you are a 1st year Apprentice, you need to be registered with Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) prior to applying at Red Deer College.   More information on becoming an apprentice.

*New for 2019/2020 pipe trades have a common 1st period.  Plumber and Steamfitter/ Pipefitter can register for any of the following 1st period intakes.
