You must be a Registered Apprentice to register for technical training. If you are not yet a Registered Apprentice with Apprenticeship and Industry Training, learn what you need to do here.
Apprentices who are eligible to attend technical training can still register during holiday closures on their MyTradesecrets account.
General Registration information
Each year, employers and apprentices receive a mailing from Apprenticeship and Industry Training that includes information about where and when training is available.
The apprentice, after consulting with their employer, registers directly to the institute or college before the training starts.
Class registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is recommended because training space may be limited.
The apprentice will need to pay the full tuition fee at the time of registration.
Apprenticeship Funding information is available here.
The institute or college will verify the apprentices eligibility and provide written confirmation of registration to both the apprentice and the employer.
Please Note - if you wish to transfer your registration from one date to another in the same academic year, you must contact Red Deer College to do so.
Additional and program specific information is available in your program department information in the menu to the right.
You can review intake dates and training schedules for all trades here.
You may also register in person or by phone. In person and phone registration will not be available during holiday closures.
