What is it?

Employment Insurance provides financial assistance to unemployed Canadians who have lost their job through no fault of their own while they look for work or upgrade their skills.


How do I apply?

Apply online at www.servicecanada.gc.ca. You will be asked for your Apprenticeship Reference Code during the application process.


When should I apply? 

Apprentices can apply on-line up to 7 days prior to the scheduled last day of work.



Where do I find my EI Reference Code?
Employment Insurance Reference Codes will be available on your enrollment confirmation letter from AIT, which is communicated through your MyTradesecrets profile.
