The safety and security of every student, staff member and visitor who comes to RDC is a top priority. As such, RDC offers a number of services and has safety procedures in place with everyone’s wellbeing in mind. A safe campus is not a privilege but a right. The entire College community works together to ensure we have a safe, healthy and caring learning environment for all.
Campus Security is on duty 24 hours per day and is available to support students, staff and visitors. Inquiries can be made by telephone, email or in person around the clock. The Security Centre desk is located at the main entrance of the campus.

Red Deer College has an app, SAFE RDC, which will help everyone at the College to stay informed and safe on our campuses. The app, which can be used by students, faculty, staff and visitors, provides another way for people to contact security and access relevant resources in an accessible, interactive format.
In addition to providing emergency contact information and crisis alerts, the features of the app include safewalk and friend walk links, tips on reporting a crime, a safety toolbox, campus maps and more
SAFE RDC is available for free. To download on an Apple device, type SAFE RDC in the app store. For all other devices, type in SAFERDC.
