Invigorating your Clay Practice - Samantha Dickie

Art-making can be an act of self-expression, self-exploration and self-renewal. This workshop is an opportunity to step outside of our normal work to play with new projects and ideas that may illuminate a revitalized understanding of the personal narratives in our work. Alongside reflective writing exercises, we will experiment with hand built clay projects (using coils, slabs, and moulds) that tangibly explore constructs of space, form and surface with our own unique aesthetics. The goal is to gain insight into how our ceramic work can be a personal expression of ourselves, clarify our artistic direction, and infuse new inspiration into our creative practices.
