News Update

Red Deer College continues to follow direction from the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regarding COVID-19, making decisions to help ensure the health and safety of our students, employees and visitors.

In a continued effort to inform our community, please note today’s updates:

Food Services

  • Effective Monday, March 23, Tim Hortons in the Red Deer Bottling Forum will be closed. This means there will be no food and beverage service on main campus, other than vending machines, starting Monday.

Donald School of Business

  • Effective Monday, March 23, RDC’s Donald School of Business (located in the Millennium Centre downtown) will be open from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on weekdays. Please note that this is a temporary reduction in hours, and we will inform you of any future changes.
  • Certain classrooms, most computer labs and other spaces within this School will be temporarily closed to alleviate repeatedly cleaning those areas. Common spaces, faculty and staff offices and washrooms will continue to receive regular cleaning.

College Services Updates

  • Counselling
    • RDC’s Counselling and Career Services has an array of helpful resources online about a variety of topics.
  • Social Distancing
    • The Alberta Government has developed a tip sheet to help us understand ways to minimize close contact with others in community settings.
