- Focus on eliminating distractions so you can keep studying for more extended periods. Try muting your phone or turning off app notifications, find a quiet area in your house, and turn off other screens like televisions or video games.
- Brighten things up with colour coding. Try creating a system that allows you to colour code material that's going to be on the exam by what's most important vs. less. You'll be able to focus on prioritizing essential information.
- Take care of yourself in a variety of ways. Engaging in physical activity will allow your brain to feel more active. Stay well-rested with a good night's sleep. Fuel your body by drinking water and staying hydrated, and choose nutritious foods to help keep your body and brain well-fueled.

Tips for writing a final exam at home:
The night before:

- Organize and prep your exam space; this will help to make sure you have a comfortable space to write in. Remove any unnecessary items, and gather any supplies you may need, such as a lamp, pencils, pens, paper, calculator, clock, water, snacks, chargers, etc.
- Depending on what time your exam takes place, plan and think of what you're going to eat for breakfast and lunch, so your brain and body are well-fueled.
- If you have roommates or family members that you live with, let them know when your exam times are to lessen any interruptions or distractions.
- Get sufficient sleep the night before. You'll want to make sure you are well-rested, so go to bed earlier.
