When you think of staying connected to RDC, what does that look like? In addition to Alumni Benefits and Services, professional development and lifelong learning opportunities, one way we stay connected is through learner engagement and support.
You can support our learners by attending one of our student events! Bookmark the RDC Events Calendar to stay up to date with what’s happening at your College and discover new fun things to do.
This year, we welcomed alumni as guests at arts, athletic and academic events. The AGORA conference gave learners in our School of Arts and Sciences a valuable opportunity to present and defend a position paper in front of a larger audience. Cheering on RDC Kings and Queens in the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre is an affordable night out, and your support in the stands is a definite motivator. The School of Creative Arts presents a number of film, live entertainment, visual art and music events each year, many of which are free to attend.
You can contribute to the educational experiences of our students by sharing your own learning and successes with a class. Alumni make up a significant portion of presenters at Backpacks to Briefcases, our annual student conference, and alumni businesses present many of the Lunch & Learn sessions that RDC hosts for staff and student development.

We’re always looking for engaged alumni to help us give back to learners, reach out to new alumni and deliver events that encourage alumni to stay connected with each other and our College.

There are a variety of ways that your business can support our learners. Through sponsorships and community partnerships, we can develop programming and practical learning opportunities that equip RDC learners for work in our region’s specific economy and help them forge important relationships with employers and future colleagues.
Your support can also help us continue to build and upgrade the spaces, facilities and equipment we need to continue to deliver cutting-edge programs and to serve our future needs as Red Deer University.

You can contribute to the growth and development at RDC by giving to the RDC Foundation. You can support our learners’ academic or athletic pursuits directly, or send your gift to the area with the greatest need. Your donation is 100% tax deductible.
Contribute to an existing fund or create your own to support our learners’ financial needs or reward their achievements in academics or athletics. You can establish your own award for as little as $750. As an alumnus, you know the difference that a scholarship can make in the life of a student. When you consider the specific challenges you or your classmates faced during your time at RDC – unforeseen expenses, a long commute or balancing work and school commitments – know that you can make a real impact in the life of a learner.
Leave a legacy of learning by incorporating a gift into your estate planning. Our advisor can help you find the best way to maximize your impact on our learners for generations to come.
We’re proud of our alumni community, and of the legacy that you have helped to create for Red Deer College, and this initiative helps us share your legacy with our community. Donations of $500 to the Athletics Leadership Fund Endowment (ALF) will be recognized with a personalized, engraved plaque on a seat in the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre. The ALF endowment supports the sustainability of our athletics scholarships.
