The Instrumentation Engineering Technology program at RDC is a fast paced, career driven program.  New to RDC for September 2017, this program fosters skills in design, installation, and maintenance of industrial control systems.

You may also be interested in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology.

You will:

  • Push your limits in both theoretical and hands-on application of Instrumentation Engineering fundamentals
  • Develop skills with desktop computers and computer programs, Programmable Logic Controllers, Process Automation, Design, and Graphical Interfaces (HMI)

Graduates from the Instrumentation Engineering Technology diploma are qualified to apply for Instumentation Engineering Technologist  positions.  Instrumentation Engineering Technologists find long-term, rewarding careers in many areas including:

The Instrumentation Engineering Technology diploma is based on National Technology Benchmarks, and equips the graduate with knowledge and skills highly sought after in industry. When coupled with industry experience, they also will lead to the Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) and Professional Technologist - Engineering (P.Tech.(Eng)) designations through the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) .
