Locksmith

Locksmiths install, adjust and repair locks, make keys, and change lock combinations. RDC is the only post-secondary institution in Alberta to offer the Locksmith apprenticeship program.

The Locksmith apprenticeship program is 3 years with 1560 hours of on-the-job training and 8 weeks of RDC technical training each year.  

1st Year Apprentices

If you are a 1st year Apprentice, you need to be registered with Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) prior to applying at Red Deer College.  More information on becoming an apprentice.
