Cooks prepare food in many different eating establishments. Cooks are responsible for nutrition, food costs and sanitation.

The Cook apprenticeship program is 3 years with 1,500 hours of on-the-job training and WATS format technical training at RDC each year (1 day a week for 40 weeks).

1st Year Apprentices

If you are a 1st year Apprentice, you need to be registered with Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) prior to applying at Red Deer College. More information on becoming an apprentice can be found here.

1st Period
Mondays from August 28, 2017 - Jun 11, 2018
2nd Period
Thursdays from August 31, 2017 - Jun 14, 2018
3rd Period
Wednesdays from August 30, 2017 - Jun 13, 2018
