Distance Program - Additional Information
Certificate Program (Child Development Worker):
Courses are offered in fall, winter (two courses available) and spring terms. Students typically need two years to complete a certificate by distance. These courses are a combination of in class, audio class and on-line delivery.

On-line Delivery: C Sections
Beginning in May 2015 until June 2016, there will be Early Learning and Child Care Certificate courses available on-line.
In order to graduate in the ELCC Certificate Program, students require Communications 150 or 250. These courses are offered each year through distance delivery both on-line and by correspondence. Click here for information on when these courses are held.
Diploma Program (Child Development Supervisor):
Courses are offered in fall, winter and spring terms (two courses each term). Students typically take one and half years to complete their diploma courses by distance. These courses are delivered on-line.

Students complete an additional two practicum placements involving young children as part of their Diploma Program. You may be able to take some of the practicum experiences in your own place of employment. Student must first obtain permission from the Practicum Coordinator before registering for Practicum as some conditions apply.
