Dr. Laura Davis, the Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences at RDC, has recently been elected as a 'Member At Large' for the executive committee of the Association of Canadian Colleges and University Teachers of English (ACCUTE). During her three-year term in this role, Dr. Davis will contribute to decision making regarding keynote speakers at the annual conference at the Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences, help organize the vetting process for various conference proposals, and consult with other executive members on any issues that may arise concerning the association and its role to represent English programs and departments in Canada.

This past spring, Dr. Davis and Dr. Linda M. Morra from Bishop's University also published their new book, Margaret Laurence and Jack McClelland, Letters through the University of Alberta Press. There will be a formal book launch to celebrate the publication in October.

Congratulations to Dr. Davis on these achievements!
