Why you should come to New Student Orientation?
We've heard from students who come to RDC's New Student Orientation that they succeed more in their classes, and in all aspects of their College experience. Everyone likes to see someone they recognize! By making introductions with new classmates at New Student Orientation, and getting to know some of our instructors and staff, we hope it'll help you overcome any jitters as you start your post-secondary experience at Red Deer College. You can also take time to familarize yourself with where your classes and various services are located, so you can walk our halls with confidence.
In addition, New Student Orientation will:
- Welcome you to RDC
- Connect you with new and continuing students, creating a network of new friends
- Introduce you to your School, program and faculty
- Familiarize you with the campus layout, including where you can find your classes
- Provide you with information about College services and resources, where to find them and how they can help you
- Encourage student experiences and student life outside of the classroom
Your success is our success, so we want to prepare you as much as possible as you begin your academic journey at RDC. We look forward to seeing you!
Students taking classes in RDC's Donald School of Business?
We invite you to head to our downtown campus at New Student Orientation during the afternoon. This is where RDC's Donald School of Business is housed, in the heart of central Alberta's business community. You'll be welcomed by the Dean and Associate Dean (as well as our other friendly faculty and staff), take a tour of our downtown campus and enjoy program-specific orientations.
A bus will take students from the main entrance at RDC's main campus to the Donald School of Business after lunch. The bus will also bring you back to main campus at the end of the day. Alternatively, you can find information on parking at the Donald School of Business here.
In addition to New Student Orientation, we also have a number of special events to welcome you to RDC. Sign up for any of the Welcome events listed below through your New Student Orientation registration, or use the links below to sign up for just the Welcome event of your choice.
