How to register and use the Loop
Here at RDC we know that registering for courses can be overwhelming, so we have made a step by step guide on how to register that can be accessed through a student’s Loop account. If you are helping a student to register we have a few links that can assist you.
Academic Planning Guides
Academic planning guides give students information on rules, regulations and recommended courses specific to their program and, if applicable, the post-secondary they are planning to transfer to. Please click on the Academic Planning Guide link for access to all RDC’s academic planning guides.
Popular programs fill early. However, if a student applies after a program is full, we can add them to the program waitlist. For most programs, this means a student still has a chance to be called for the term they applied to and be considered first for the next term the program is offered.
The only program this does not apply to is the Bachelor of Science Nursing program. This program is considered over- subscribed therefore applicants must re-apply each Fall.
The programs that tend to fill early each year are:
- Unit Clerk
- Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant
- Practical Nurse (admission offers sent in March)
- Bachelor of Science Engineering (admission offers sent in March)
- Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- Administrative Professional
- Social Work
- Pharmacy Technician
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (admission offers sent in March)
Program spotlights will provide students with an opportunity to connect with faculty, current RDC students, and alumni to find out detailed information about programs they are interested in. Students will get an 'inside look' at programs and in-depth information to make informed choices about your post-secondary education.
