Writing Skills Centre
Writing well is a crucial skill and a sign of professionalism in any discipline. If you want to improve your writing skills in any way, the Writing Skills Centre is here to help. The Centre is located in the Library.
Meetings with a writing skills tutor are one-on-one and free! Bring an assignment in progress and get some helpful feedback, or bring a marked essay for specific advice on how to improve. Whether you are an English major or are studying English as an additional language, visiting the Writing Skills Centre can lead to better grades in all your courses.
We can help you with:
- Essay organization and structure
- Research and planning
- Developing a strong thesis statement
- Grammar and punctuation
- Any other issues related to writing
The learning experience is tailored to you, and you can come back as often as you need. You don’t need to be referred by an instructor.
