Math Learning Centre

Math skills are a cornerstone to success in many disciplines. Each new concept provides a base for the next one, so missing one step can make the rest of the course seem impossible. If you are having trouble with a math concept, whether you are studying a trade or taking advanced theoretical math, the Math Learning Centre can help.

A math tutor, math instructors and peer tutors are available to help you understand the math-related content of your courses. The tutors are available part-time, on a drop-in basis. Schedules are posted on The Loop under the Learning Supports tab. There’s no cost, and you can come back as often as you need to.

The Math Learning Centre (MLC) is in the Library, but a math tutor visits the Nova Chemicals Learning Common several times a week. For more information, see the schedule at 

Getting Ready for Calculus Course

The “Getting Ready for Calculus” Blackboard course provides you with short teaching videos and practice questions that allow you to review key concepts covered in high school math that are fundamental to the concepts you are, or will be, learning in calculus.
