Sculptural Ceramics in Situ

Imagining a specific location for a sculptural piece is a helpful framework for concept, form and expression. Suggested project is a finial [sculpture] for the roof where silhouette, and concept are united. Students will be supported by one-to-one problem solving with the instructor: a positive way to work with themes and improve your skills. No armatures, only building skills. Surface treatments are addressed. For inspiration, check out architectural embellishment, friezes, Asian figurative roof tiles, or equestrian roof tiles. An imaginative class, and all levels of experience are welcomed. Bring ideas!
