My Word: A Writing Workshop for Women

Hear the sound and shape of your own words as you read aloud from what you've written each day. The daily exercises invite you to enter the act, and the art, of writing through hearing words from published writers, most of them women and many of them Canadian. The texts of our peers and predecessors become catalysts for the subject, style or structure of your own writing. Writers of poetry, prose and memoir, and both new and experienced writers are welcome. 'The page waits, pretending to be blank' says Margaret Atwood.
