Making it Work: Clay Boot Camp

This course will focus on problem solving techniques that students can apply to their own work through the review of both basic and more complex forms. Mugs, jugs, bowls, plates, lidded vessels such as jars and casseroles, oval and square bakers as well as multi-part forms such as goblets, tureens and teapots will be demonstrated and discussed. A variety of decorating techniques, including work with coloured clay slips and underglazes will also be shared. Please bring a problem child pot with you to share in the troubleshooting discussion on the first morning of class.
