A Week of Metal Baskets

Learn the magic of combining basket-making and metalsmithing to create some unique signature baskets or sculptures. Participants will learn different weaving techniques to create patterns, as well as metalsmithing techniques such as forming the woven piece, riveting, sawing, texturing, and colouring copper. The schedule is flexible and will adapt to students’ design needs, and participants with all levels of experience in any medium are welcome.
