Expressive Portrait in Clay

Review the anatomical structure of the head: skull, eyes, nose, ear and mouth. With class instruction and demos at each step, you can expect to produce a realistic 3D portrait in clay, one that arrives at a likeness with life and expression. A more experienced student can expect to move towards achieving an expressive quality moving towards abstraction. The clay portraits are built on an armature, using additive and subtractive method.
