Wax to Bronze-An Introduction

Discover the world of bronze casting. This introductory workshop is a hands-on overview of metal casting introducing foundry processes, including wax sculpting, lost-wax casting, investment molds, metal casting and finishing. You will help our molten metal, complete several cast-metal sculptures and create temporary fast body-safe molds that can reproduce minute details of fingers or hands. Alternatively, you can work directly in wax to form one-of-a-kind pieces. Make a few small fist-size objects, which will allow time to learn a variety of techniques.
