Supporting Students, Multiplying Dreams
All with Help from the Access to the Future Fund
Red Deer College (RDC) is always looking for ways to build opportunities and support students on the path to their dreams.
And we’re getting help – many contributions and investments to Building Communities Through Learning (BCTL) are eligible for matching amounts through the Access to the Future Fund.
The purpose of the Fund is to “support innovation and excellence” by helping more Albertans take part in accessible, affordable and quality education. Matched dollars that support initiatives also foster innovation. These funds are made possible through the Government of Alberta’s Advanced Education and Technology.
To date, we’ve accessed $4.8 million in matching funds for a host of new opportunities:
- new facilities for learning, training and development
- new financial supports for students by creating more scholarships and bursaries
- new programs to meet the needs of people, businesses and organizations in our region
|
This support is made possible thanks to major contributions from our generous donors. With matching funds, the investments of central Albertans are multiplied. And, the impact multiplies. These contributions and matching dollars impact RDC students in increasing the amount of support available to them and enhancing the programs and facilities from which they’re learning. The Access to the Future Fund also allows donors to consider the amplified impact of their contribution if it were doubled.
Multiplying progress. The BCTL momentum continues. Working together – RDC, the Government of Alberta, and private and public sector donors have successfully introduced major learning opportunities to the cities, towns and rural communities in the heart of Alberta.
We look forward to supporting central Albertans as they pursue their educational goals and as RDC grows to meet our learners’ needs, and the needs of central Albertans.
