Communications

Communication Studies
The study of the sending and receiving of messages.

Communication affects everyone's life at virtually every second of the day. Studying communication might include such areas as mass communication, interpersonal relations, and the examination and preparation of various texts created by and for human beings.

The study of communication has applications in both personal and professional settings, as it teaches skills that enhance your own potential to communicate with yourself, friends, family, co-workers and customers. You will also develop the ability to understand and speak the language in which business is conducted; strong listening skills; ability to read, comprehend and use written materials such as charts, graphs, or displays; and effective writing skills.
