Early Learning & Child Care
Well-trained Early Learning and Child Care professionals are essential to the provision of quality care and education for children from birth through eight years of age. Students in the ELCC program will become these professionals through interactive experiences, lecture delivery and field placements.
With the advent of Accreditation of early childhood centres, it is now more important than ever that child care professionals have training and credentials.
Full time on-campus students have the opportunity to complete a Certificate in one year and the chance to do practicums in various child care settings. Following completion of a Certificate in ELCC, many students return to complete the Diploma, which is two more terms on campus.
Early Learning and Child Care professionals who work full time can access further training through RDC courses in several ways - as part-time on-campus students or as Distance Students, through distance delivery (first year) or through on-line delivery (second year).
Our second year diploma distance courses are online and can be taken anywhere there is computer access to the Internet via eCampus.
