Robert Christopher Nellis has been a teacher since 1998. His 2007 PhD thesis received the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies Dissertation Award, and he has presented his research at numerous major national and international conferences. He is the author of Haunting Inquiry: Classic NFB Documentary, Jacques Derrida, and the Curricula Otherwise (2009; Sense Publishers, Rotterdam/Boston/Taipei). Robert has taught courses in inclusive education; media education (an originally conceived, proposed, and developed University of Alberta course); English; differentiating instruction; assessment; consultation, collaboration, and teamwork; educational psychology; human sexuality; and relationship development. Robert currently teaches educational psychology and family studies for the BEd program and inclusive education for the University of Alberta/RDC Collaborative (Middle Years) BEd program.

Drena has been employed with RDC since July 2008, and absolutely enjoys working in the post-secondary environment. She brings a variety of educational and work experiences to her position including a diploma in ECD, and certificates in Travel Consulting and Office Technology. Drena is committed to lifelong learning and is currently working on completion of a degree in Human Service Administration and a certificate in Event Management. Drena also has the benefit of family, volunteer work and travel. You will find her working in office 1506.
