Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre
2019 Canada Winter Games at RDC
On February 15, Red Deer College will welcome athletes from across our nation to the 2019 Canada Winter Games. RDC is excited to be part of this once-in-a-generation event, and our College will host five competition events at our new Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
During the Games, the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre will not be available for public or member use. For members who enjoy health and wellness activities at the Centre, we are adding time on to your membership to accommodate the timeframe when you will not be able to use the facility for your fitness needs. RDC is honoured to partner with the 2019 Canada Winter Games Host Society and The City of Red Deer to host this major national event. The Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre has been named the legacy building for this historic national event. Learn more about RDC's role with the Games.

Creating RDC’s New Centre
The planning, design and construction of RDC’s Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre took place over many years and involved thousands of people. The first site work for the Centre began in the fall of 2015, and substantial completion for construction was reached on June 19, 2018.
