Biography

Andrea began at Red Deer Polytechnic in 2016 with a background teaching part-time in Ontario in nursing, pre-health science and fitness and health promotion classes. Andrea has been working on a doctorate degree from Western University. Andrea’s specialties include exercise physiology, pediatric exercise physiology and fitness and health. 

In 2018, Andrea completed her CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with a High-Performance specialization in addition to her Instructor-Examiner (IE) designation which will permit the certification of students with this credential at RDP. Andrea currently works with Fitness and Ancillary Services at RDP to provide external testing (VO2max, Wingate) for athletes at RDP and the community. Andrea is also the President of the Board of Directors for the Alberta Kinesiology Association working with that group towards the regulation of kinesiologists in the province of Alberta.  

Andrea is currently the Chairperson of the Kinesiology and Sport Studies program at RDP.
