Biography

Dr. Alison Jeppesen is Associate Dean, Teaching, Learning and Scholarship at Red Deer Polytechnic. 

Her portfolio includes the Centre of Teaching, Learning and Scholarship inclusive of functional areas related to faculty and student research, ethics and integrity in research (Research Ethics Board and Animal Care Ethics), program development and review, quality assurance, teaching development, flexible learning pathways, learning space and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.  

Dr. Jeppesen’s areas of specialization include ancient Roman social history, epigraphy, the impact of faculty development programs and quality program development. She has published and taught on connected areas such as course design, accreditation development, and the portrayal of wives in antiquity with application to modern marital dynamics.
